Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, has officially opened the new city offices of international law firm Addleshaw Goddard Ireland.
Since entering the city in 2022, the international law firm has recorded a 45% growth in revenue in Ireland and has increased its headcount by over 20% with 154 staff currently at the firm. Addleshaw Goddard is now one of the largest international law firms in Ireland with 90 Lawyers and 32 Partners and is targeting a further 10-15% growth in headcount in 2025. Addleshaw Goddard is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
The firm's move to new premises at Fitzwilliam No.28 represents a significant milestone in its continued growth in Ireland, allowing Addleshaw Goddard to accommodate over 200 people across the 27,722 sq. ft. footprint – a 42% increase on their previous office space at Temple Chambers on Burlington Road.
Situated in the heart of the Georgian Mile, Fitzwilliam No.28 stands on the site of the former ESB premises and was designed by the internationally acclaimed Grafton Architects and O’Mahony Pike Architects. The 14-year lease signed with SMBC Aviation Capital sees the firm take over the entire second floor along with a portion of the first floor of the modern near zero energy building.
The firm regularly advises international funds investing in Ireland, strengthening Ireland’s appeal for international investors. Addleshaw Goddard has advised Home Focus Group on the sale of the company and its subsidiaries to Dunelm Group plc; Tifco Hotel Group on the sale of the Hard Rock Hotel Dublin to Leonardo Hotels; the sale of the Travelodge Belfast to Andras House; and Maurice Regan Group in a €250m refinance of Gerry Gannon and Gannon Homes loans from Nama.
Addleshaw Goddard offers clients a wide variety of services across its Corporate, Finance, Disputes, Real Estate & Construction, Employment, Tax and Energy practices. The firm is renowned for its award winning innovation and technology and has been named a top 10 firm for innovation in Europe for five consecutive years by the Financial Times.
